Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Robert DeLeo has told numerous on-line publications & Spin magazine in France that the bands eagerly awaited 6th studio album is finally going to hit shelf's. The band reformed in 2008 after the erratic front-man Scott Whieland was supposedly kicked out of American Rock super-band 'Velvet Revolver' for his un-stable behaviour. At the time of re-formation the band performed a US-wide 65 date tour, and Scott hinted that a 6th album may be on the way - we now finally have what seems to be confirmation Title: New Stone Temple Pilots Album Set For Release!

I myself am looking forward to the album, although I have my issues with the wild frontman, steming from the last UK date that Velvet played, I can't doubt his singing talent.
There is no set release date for the album, although it is expected this year.
