And finally the STRONGBOW BOWTIME BAR has announced Glaswegian hardcore infused death metal heavyweights BLEED FROM WITHIN and straight off the back of a great tour with legendary mathcore pioneers Converge, Norweigan rockers KVELERTAK who combine rock, hardcore and black metal to great effect.

Bleed From Within "Call us Bring Me The Horizon again wee laddy and we'll give ye a Glasgow kiss so we will"

It was said before the announcement that this would be the last and that now the line up is complete but you never no there could be more in store from the festival organisers. Party Thrashers Municipal Waste Cancel All Upcoming European Dates

UPLOADED BY: Adam "Djentleman" Sandrey

Municipal Waste Cancel All Upcoming European Dates

The good time loving party thrashers Municipal Waste from Virginia in the US  have cancelled all of their upcoming European tour dates because of a "family emergency". Lead vocalist Tony Foresta Tweeted: “Sorry to cancel Europe. We’ll make it up to you. Family first!” Full details are not currently available but a full statement is expected in the next couple of days.

This of course means that they will not be able to perform on the Bohemia stage at this year's Sonisphere festival like they were supposed to. This is a big loss for the festival as they are well known for their fun, high energy live performances!

Whatever the family emergency is Scorpio PR wishes the band all the best!

36 Crazyfists "Collisions And Castaways" Release Imminent And Taster Tracks Available Online

UPLOADED BY: Adam "Djentleman" Sandrey

36 Crazyfists "Collisions And Castaways" Release Imminent And Taster Tracks Available Online

Alaskan hardcore heavyweights 36 Crazyfists are preparing for the release of their 5th album "Collisions and Castaways" via Roadrunner Records (in the UK, though on Ferret Music in the US) on July 26th. This will be the bands first Roadrunner release since leaving the label after the release of 2004's "A Snowcapped Romance".
There is a lot of fuss being made about the new record and early reports from Metalhammer UK indicate that this is their best work yet. Kerrang Magazine recently released their amazing review, stating,Collisions and Castaways tweaks and improves on their sound to a truly brilliant effect,” and, “…an album that ebbs and flows so superbly and, while their sonic palette retains the same colors it always has, 36 Crazyfists are still finding vibrant new ways to use them.” All Music Guide states, “In an age when it seems like more and more bands fall by the wayside after only and album or two, 36 Crazyfists are certainly one of metal's most reliable workhorses, as evidenced throughout Collisions and Castaways.”
Lead vocalist Brock Lindow claims that this album is what the band wanted to "write 10 years ago" and is arguably the band's heaviest album yet despite also being incredibly melodic.
He says, "If this was the end of the band, this record is exactly what I wanted our band to do at one time, Maybe a lot of people will think we're just metalcore, but it's so much more than that. It's a heavy record with some big choruses and everything we've been about for a long time with a cool metal feel to it that I've been wanting."
"It's definitely about life, my life and possibly all our lives," Lindow says. "It's just something I wanted to get off my chest. All these years, I have been saying if you can quit making some of these mistakes, your life is going to change and you're going to better and you have to be proactive about it. I thought I was doing it myself, but I wasn't. I really wanted to talk about what has hampered progress for me in my life. It's about trying to be the best human being you can be and really putting some things to rest and moving forward."

Not really heard 36 Crazyfists before and not sure what to expect from the new album? Then you are in luck because there are two tracks taken from the new album "Reviver" and "Whitewater" available to listen to on their Myspace here

36 Crazyfists are currently on tour in the US with Fear Factory, After the Burial and Divine Heresy, although they are returning to the UK for a co-headline tour with UK label mates DevilDriver playing what will be their biggest headline shows (albeit co-headline) in the UK since their inception.

NOVEMBER 5th – NEWCASTLE ACADEMY
NOVEMBER 6th – LEEDS ACADEMY
NOVEMBER 7th – GLASGOW ARCHES
NOVEMBER 8th – NOTTINGHAM ROCK CITY
NOVEMBER 9th – WOLVERHAMPTON WULFRAN HALL
NOVEMBER 10th – BOURNEMOUTH ACADEMY
NOVEMBER 12th – BRISTOL ACADEMY
NOVEMBER 13th – LONDON FORUM
NOVEMBER 14th – MANCHESTER ACADEMY

This is a tour definitely worth checking out because 36 Crazyfists are well known for their live performances. If that isn't enough to convince you to attend then the fact that they are playing with DevilDriver should. Dez and his metal behemoth are steam rolling back into the UK and are another band known for their live abilities and the world's biggest mosh pits! Get yourself a ticket or miss out. Check the venue websites and usual ticket vendors for prices and full details.

Bloodstock Festival Add Final Metal 2 The Masses Winner And A New Addition To The Sophie Lancaster Stage

UPLOADED BY: Adam "Djentleman" Sandrey

Bloodstock Festival Add Final Metal 2 The Masses Winner And A New Addition To The Sophie Lancaster Stage

The Bloodstock Festival has always prided itself on promoting unsigned bands and introducing new talent to the world of metal. Over the years this stage has helped to further the careers of now established and rising bands such as Evile, Exit Ten, Forever Never, The Defiled, Ted Maul and The Bezerker. This year will see Evile play the main stage of Bloodstock Festival and the Bohemia Stage at Sonisphere Festival as their stock will continue to rise. Snakebite are another main stage band at this year's Bloodstock Festival who won the unsigned band of the festival at last year's Bloodstock that has also meant that they will have the chance to play at this year's Wacken Open Air Festival. Wacken is Europe's largest and certainly most prestigious metal festival.

With less than four weeks until the start of this years Bloodstock Festival the final Metal 2 The Masses winners have been announced. For those of you who are not aware of this competition it is a travelling battle of the bands format competition with many of the UK's unsigned talent competing for the chance to play on Bloodstock's unsigned stage.

Bournemouth's M2TM winner is FLAYED DISCIPLE a Somerset based Death/Trash Metal band that have already played alongside Trigger The Bloodshed, The Rotted and Descecration amongst others. Check them out on their Myspace and on their official site.

There has been another addition to the Sophie Lancaster stage too as Bloodstock are proud to announce the addition of British up and comers Collapse. They combine the sound of European metal acts such as The Haunted and Carcass with the groove of US acts like Pantera and Lamb Of God which should fair well with the Bloodstock faithful.

Collapse frontman Duncan Wilkinson had this to say: “We can’t wait to play Bloodstock! And on Friday the 13th too! Not only is it perfect timing for us as we’ve just finished in the studio, but it will also see us sharing the stage with some of our personal heroes and musical influences. Bloodstock has gone from strength to strength and this year looks set to be a real stormer. See you down the front “

You can check them out on their Myspace page.

This year sees the Bloodstock Open Air festival celebrate its 10th year of existence though it was based solely indoors until 2005 when it moved outdoors. Over the 10 years Bloodstock has risen in stature and is now the biggest and most prestigious independent metal festival in the country. Legendary Heaven & Hell were due to headline the festival until the unfortunate passing of Ronny James Dio. This year sees headline performances from Twisted Sister, Opeth, Children Of Bodom, Fear Factory and a special guest appearance from Meshuggah. Bloodstock can boast more exclusive festival appearances than any other festival of a similar nature in the country and has a star studded line up of some of the world's greatest metal acts: Behemoth, Bloodbath, Cannibal Corpse, Gojira, Sonata Artica, Edguy, Obituary, Suffocation, Gwar, Korpiklaani as well as up and coming British acts such as Sylosis, Evile and Black Spiders.

Any fans of metal should get themselves a ticket while they still can and come and enjoy the festivities with close to 12,000 other metal heads. The atmosphere is unlike anything you have ever experienced and the crowds are much smaller than the likes of Download, Sonisphere or Leeds/Reading (plus it is a damn sight cheaper). Visit the official website for more details here

BLOOD FOR BLOOD - REUNION & TOUR

UPLOADED BY: Ian 'SKully' Russell

BLOOD FOR BLOOD - REUNION & TOUR
In an official statement released to press, Boston based hardcore rockers BLOOD FOR BLOOD have confirmed there 6 year long hiatus is finally over... The statement read:
"First off, we would like to thank all our fans for hanging in there over the last six long years.  As of December 2010 Blood for Blood will embark on our first tour since 2004.
Blood for Blood has agreed to join the Persistence Tour in Europe sharing a stage with long time friends Sick of it All as well as other acts soon to be announced.

The decision to play again was not an easy one to make.  Over the last few years we have tried time and time again to contact Rob about a possible Blood for Blood reunion, but he has ignored every single attempt we have made.  Therefore, we were left with no other choice but to find someone else to fill in for his BFB responsibilities. Now, let’s make this perfectly clear: we have no ill will towards Rob whatsoever.
We wish him well and Blood for Blood will always be open to him.

That being said, we were left with the conundrum of finding a fill-in for Rob.  After some careful thought we believe we found a perfect fill-in.  We are pleased to announce that Billy Graziadei of Biohazard will be joining Blood for Blood on stage for Persistence Tour 2010.
Again thanks for all the countless emails and support letters from all our fans over the years.  We are looking forward to seeing all your ugly faces again".

FULL TOUR DATES WILL BE LISTED AS & WHEN THEY ARE CONFIRMED

Avenged Sevenfold Announce Tour Dates and Tourning Drummer

Written By: Jade Hawkins

Avenged sevenfold are set to take part in the 36 date Rockstar energy drink Uproar festival across the US, with bands Disturbed, Stone Sour and Halestorm just to name a few. The tour will be the first that Avenged Sevenfold have done since the tragic death of Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan who passed away at the end of 2009.

Zacky Vengeance (guitarist) has confirmed that the speculation over Mike Portnoy touring with them are in fact true, this comes after he has been in the studio helping them to finish their 5th album which is set to be released later this year. This was all confirmed in a post on the bands official website:
“After being so kind and caring to help us in the studio, the rumors are in fact true and Mike Portnoy will indeed be helping us on the upcoming UPROAR tour later this year. We hope to see you all out on the road. We are very grateful to Mike for dedicating his time and talent to help us get back on the road so we can be where we need to be the most which is with our fans. Much Love and Respect
Zacky V
A7X”

However Portnoy can only serve as a touring member due to commitments to Dream Theater, therefore meaning that he is not an official member of the band and that they are still looking for a replacement drummer.
After having had such an amazing experience recording my drum tracks for the new Avenged Sevenfold album, we all knew it would be awesome if I'd be able to do some touring with the band after its release...

I am happy to say that the timing worked out perfectly that my touring cycle with Dream Theater (and Transatlantic) was coming to an end just as A7X's was scheduled begin!

(well, perfect for everyone except my poor family!) : )

Although I wish I could stay on board with A7X in a more permanent capacity, the reality is that I am committed to Dream Theater as my main priority (that is my baby after all!), and I will need to resume work with DT to start a new album at some point in 2011....

However, I will be able to join my brothers in Avenged Sevenfold for at least the duration of their touring throughout 2010...and hopefully this will give them the time to continue to heal and get comfortable back on the road....

You can look at me like the band's "rebound drummer" to buy them some time until they are comfortable and ready to make a commitment to somebody new for full-time relationship in their future!

In the meantime, I am real excited to hit the road with the boys...to bring my drumming from their new album to life on stage and to honor The Rev with all of their older material....

(Hey, do I get to have a cool, bad-ass stage name now???) : )

C-ya out there,

MP”

Latitude Contemporary Art Exhibition 2010 Announced

Written By: Ian S. Russell

Latitude Contemporary Art Exhibition Announced
Latitude Festival is extremely proud to announce the launch of the Latitude Contemporary Art Exhibition (LCA) and the LCA Award at this year's sold out 5th Edition of the festival.

The LCA Exhibition will continue Latitude Festival's enormous devotion to the arts with a myriad of new and existing contemporary art works on display In The Woods, a stunning woodland setting and one of the most intriguing areas of the magnificent Latitude site.  For the inaugural LCA Exhibition, six key artists have been specially commissioned by the LCA to craft new works for the 2010 launch: Tim Etchells, Susan Collis, Graham Hudson, Chosil Kil, Graeme Miller and David Blandy.

The LCA comprises the Creator of Latitude and Managing Director of Festival Republic Melvin Benn, Independent arts writer Louise Gray, Tate Modern curator Ben Borthwick, curator/deputy editor of 'The Wire' Anne Hilde Neset and Managing Director of Lavish Ami Jade Cadillac.

The LCA Award of £10,000 will be presented to one of the artists providing new work for the exhibition, chosen by the LCA panel of judges. The prize will cover research, development, production costs and artist fees for a new piece to be debuted for the LCA Exhibition at Latitude 2011

Selecting the 2010 LCA Award winner will be a prestigious panel of LCA judges - Creator of Latitude and Managing Director of Festival Republic Melvin Benn, broadcaster, journalist and presenter on Radio 4's World At One and BBC2's The Review Show Martha Kearney and Young British Artist Gavin Turk. The panel will select the winner on Saturday 17th July following a tour of the new works, with an official announcement and presentation of the LCA Award in the Lavish Lounge on the Latitude site.

Melvin Benn has always intended contemporary art to be an integral part of Latitude Festival.
 He says:
"It was always my intention that contemporary art would be a key element of the programme at Latitude.  We have always had some spectacular works displayed throughout the site and In The Woods.  This year, in Latitude's fifth edition, I am thrilled to expand this side of the programme by introducing the Latitude Contemporary Art Exhibition and the LCA Award, which will bring some exceptional talent to Latitude this year and help create something very special for next year as well."

Martha Kearney says:
"I have always enjoyed Latitude for its unique setting and breadth as a festival, encompassing so much more than music. The new arts prize is an exciting development and I am looking forward to seeing the new work in the beautiful woodland setting."

Running in parallel with the LCA selected artists, additional artists that have appeared at Latitude previously are creating  new works to be exhibited as part of the LCA; Mode 2, Johnny Cole and James Rueben.

Also exhibiting as part of LCA will be:
