In A short statement released to the press EMI studios confirmed they are now in talks with both the national herritage center & 3rd party buyers in an attempt to save the iconic building, the statement reads as follows:
"EMI welcomes the reported acceleration of English Heritage's plans to list Abbey Road and supports such a listing as an appropriate way of protecting our world famous music heritage site. In response to recent press speculation, EMI confirms that it is holding preliminary discussions for the revitalisation of Abbey Road with interested and appropriate third parties"
For the past week we have all been wishing the record label well, in not only its ownership over Abbey Road, but also in its current cash problems - EMI is a legendery label, we hope it gets back on its feet soon.
